A website for our family and friends to keep up with Mikaela and her progress with Arthrogryposis. And a little bit of Naomi too!

Great News!! Mikaela started walking!!! (with a walker)
Mikaela has come so far and we couldn't be more proud of her! For a
baby we were told "would never survive", "never be able to use her arms"
and "shouldn't be here" amazes us every day and she is such a gift, not
only to us, but to so many who also believed in her. We're ever so
grateful for all the prayers and love you have shown her over the past 3 years.
Latest News!
Mikaela is really coming along and it's amazing! She's talking, saying sentences, asking questions and of course - yelling at Naomi all day long. Oh! And she LOVES to sing songs.
A HUGE milestone she reached in October was sitting up on her own! I was sitting on the couch while Mikaela was rolling around on the floor. Murad came down and as he was talking to me I stopped him to ask, "Did you sit Mikaela up...?" We both looked over, looked at each other with super excitement and quickly lied her back down. We watched, we waited... and she did it!!
Here is the video that we're so pleased to share with all of you! Look at that strength!
Mikaela has also received her SMO's (ankle supports) to help with her walking. She started back at therapy twice a week and is doing great! So far she took Two Steps on her own!!! And as for Naomi, she has started day care twice a week so I can dedicate my full attention to get Mikaela up and walking. Naomi is as happy as can be with all her new friends and I love how much she is learning. After a full day of working with Mikaela, I'm so excited to go pick up Naomi and hear all about her day while she sings new songs in the car on our way home.
Mikaela is also being evaluated to start school once she turns 3 at the end of this month!
